ILI vs ILI

Intertype relations in Socionics refer to the theoretical relationship dynamics between different personality types. In the case of the ILI - ILI relationship, this refers to the interaction between two individuals who both possess the Intuitive Logical Introvert (ILI) type, also known as the INTJ in the MBTI system. This relationship is described as Identity relation. The ILI, or INTJ, has dominant introverted intuition (Ni). They are strategic, long-term thinkers who are constantly planning for the future. They also have auxiliary extroverted thinking (Te), which complements their Ni by focusing on efficiency, logic, and objective data. As identical types, two ILIs will share the same cognitive functions in the same order: dominant Ni, auxiliary Te, tertiary introverted feeling (Fi), and inferior extroverted sensing (Se). This means they will have similar patterns of thinking and processing information.

Two ILIs will understand each other's communication styles well, as they share the same strengths and weaknesses. They communicate in a straightforward, logical, and concise manner, focusing mainly on ideas, theories, and possibilities for the future. They may struggle with expressing their emotions openly and may come off as detached or insensitive to those who do not share their communication style. In their interaction, they can easily comprehend each other's thought processes and perspectives, since they are essentially the same. This can result in a mutual understanding and respect for each other. However, this identicalness may also lead to a lack of excitement or novelty in their relationship, as both individuals have similar views and approaches to life. They may find themselves in a constant state of agreement, which can be both comforting and limiting. Despite their similarities, conflicts can still arise in an ILI-ILI relationship. Both individuals may have a tendency to be stubborn and rigid in their opinions, leading to disagreements and potential power struggles. Additionally, their shared introverted nature may result in a lack of social interaction and a preference for solitude, which can make it challenging for them to connect on a deeper emotional level.
