Become a licensed real estate agent in Idaho
Are you interested in becoming a licensed real estate agent in Idaho? If so, there are a few steps you need to take to achieve this goal. First and foremost, you must meet the formal requirements set forth by the Idaho Real Estate Commission.
To become a licensed real estate agent in Idaho, you must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must also complete 90 hours of pre-licensing education from an approved provider. This education will cover topics such as real estate law, contracts, financing, and property management.
Once you have completed your pre-licensing education, you must pass the Idaho Real Estate Salesperson Exam. This exam is administered by Pearson VUE and covers both national and state-specific real estate topics. You must score at least 75% on the exam to pass.
After passing the exam, you must submit an application for licensure to the Idaho Real Estate Commission. This application will require you to provide proof of your pre-licensing education, exam results, and any other required documentation. You will also need to pay a fee to obtain your license.
