How to become a notary public in New York County
To become a notary public in New York County, you must meet the following requirements:
1. Be at least 18 years old
2. Be a legal resident of New York State or have a place of business in the state
3. Be able to read and write English
4. Not have any felony convictions or convictions for crimes involving dishonesty
5. Complete a notary public application and submit it to the New York State Department of State along with a $60 fee
