How to become a certified mediator in Harris County

To become a certified mediator in Harris County, there are several steps that need to be taken. First, an individual must complete a 40-hour basic mediation training course that is approved by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable. This course covers the fundamentals of mediation, including communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and ethical considerations.

After completing the basic mediation training, the individual must then complete an additional 24 hours of advanced mediation training. This training can cover a variety of topics, such as family law mediation, workplace mediation, or civil mediation.
