To become a certified mechanic in Georgia, there are a few steps that need to be taken. First, an individual must complete a high school diploma or equivalent. Then, they must enroll in a technical school or community college that offers automotive technology programs. These programs typically take 6-12 months to complete and cover topics such as engine repair, brake systems, and electrical systems.
