Become a certified cdl instructor in Chicago
Are you interested in becoming a certified CDL instructor in Chicago? If so, there are a few steps you need to take to achieve this job status. First and foremost, you must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a clean driving record. Additionally, you must have a minimum of three years of experience as a commercial driver.
Once you meet these requirements, you can enroll in a CDL instructor training program. These programs are typically offered by community colleges or vocational schools and can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months to complete. During the program, you will learn how to teach others to drive commercial vehicles, as well as the rules and regulations of the road.
After completing the training program, you must pass a written exam and a driving test to become certified as a CDL instructor. You will also need to obtain a teaching certificate from the Illinois State Board of Education. This certificate requires a bachelor's degree and completion of a teacher preparation program.
