To become a certified public accountant (CPA) in South Dakota, there are several steps that you need to follow. The first step is to complete a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university. You must also complete at least 150 semester hours of college education, which includes 24 semester hours in accounting and 24 semester hours in business courses.
